The route of Chisinau Marathon–2015 is officially approved

On Monday, March 30, one of the issues discussed at morning meeting of Chisinau mayor, was the approval of the route Of Chisinau International Marathon.

The proposed by organizers map and time of marathon did not cause objections, and the official document was signed personally by General Mayor of Chisinau municipality, Dorin Chirtoaca.

We remind that Chisinau marathon will be held on April 26, 2015. The Sport Expo Zone placed on Great National Assembly Square, where will be issued starter packs to the participants, will begin its activity on April 24.

As for the route, it has undergone some changes from the first plan. The changes were made in order not to affect very much the movement of vehicles in capital. It was decided not to close the street Calea Iesilor and the exit from the city through Sculeanca.

As a result, the length of one circle was reduced to 10,5 km. This way, the athletes that have registered to participate on 42 km marathon distance, will run four circles on the given route.

The track was already measured by a licensed timekeeper from Moldavian Athletics Federation, so all the data are extremely accurate.
